| Medical Image Analysis Research at CVRG Lab, University Sains Malaysia | |
| Medical image analysis and Semantic image understanding have been the focus areas of research at Computer Vision Research Group (CVRG), School of Computer Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Penang. The specific areas of interest are tumor segmentation and quantification, Knowledge guided segmentation and developing a platform named ENDEAVOR to facilitate medical image analysis research. The recent research focus is in liver tumor segmentation and quantification, semantic image tagging of medical images, and Neuro image analysis. In Neuroimaging our specific interest is in DTI, HARDI and fMRI based fiber tracking and brain networks. The application areas of this research are in investigating imaging biomarkers neurodegenerative diseases and study of the changes in brain white matter tracts resulting from surgery and specific diseases and their correlation with the clinical data. This presentation shall share some information on the current research interest. | |
