| This cluster is formed under School of Medical Sciences comprising of cell biologists, pathologists, haematologists, laboratory scientists , epidemiologists and clinicians. We research on cancers prevalent in Malaysia particularly in Kelantan in which the population demography is somewhat homogenous (Malay population ~96%), different from demography elsewhere in Malaysia. The cancers mainly researched on are breast, cervix, thyroid and leukemia; the latter two are more prevalent in Kelantan then elsewhere in the country. | |
